Welcome to the I Can See Giveaway!

*This post is brought to you by Verilux.

My son has been complaining lately of headaches. I noticed that they usually occur when he is doing schoolwork. While it could easily be an issue of being bored and trying to find an excuse to get a break from school (what kid hasn't tried it at least once, right?), I decided to take him to the optometrist to get a thorough checkup. The doctors found nothing significantly wrong with his eyes, but did warn that eye strain could be a part of the problem.

If you have ever spent a significant amount of time looking at small print in a book, or counting stitches in a piece of needlework, you know the strain it can have on your eyes. It was quite by accident that I found the Heritage Natural Spectrum Desk Lamp. It was designed in response to that eye strain.

This special lamp uses an optix lens to diffuse light to reduce glare, eyestrain, and fatigue. Such a special lamp deserves to look special also, so it comes in an antique brushed nickel, with a head that can swivel 350 degrees. The height is adjustable between 11.5" and 17.5", allowing you to easily adapt it for your own purposes.

Another really great thing about this lamp is that the bulb lasts up to 3 times longer than standard bulbs, helping out both the environment and your pocketbook! It also contains a three-way switch, allowing you to adjust the brightness to whichever level feels best for you.

Now for a Giveaway!

One lucky winner is going to take home a lamp of their own! This is a $200 value! To enter, simply use the Rafflecopter form below. This giveaway is open to all those 18+ in the U.S. The giveaway will end on July 14, 2014.

  1. I will see my books better when I am reading. The lamp I have now will often put a glare on the page, so I would love to give this one a try.

  3. Would be perfect for my computer desk in the living room. I have no lighting on my desk at all, and only one low-light lamp in the room all together. At night Im constantly straining to see the keys on the keyboard and with an astigmatism I basically have to give up doing much of anything unless I want a headache. O.O

  5. I enjoy making beaded jewelry but the tiny holes in beads make it so difficult. This lamp would make it so much easier to see the holes and string the beads.
