Happy New Year!

The start of a new year is always exciting. While I don't always set a 'New Year's Resolution', I am this year. I am going to be focusing on getting more organized and on losing some weight. Three children later and both are major areas of chaos in my life right now!


To become more organized, I am using scheduling charts for the kids and a daily/monthly planner for myself. I am also making a conscious effort to write things down as soon as I know about them. That planner doesn't work unless I actually put things in it!


As for the weight issue....I just feel gross lately. I'm not happy with the image in the mirror, so it is time to do something about it! No more cookies, no more cake, I am going to be making a conscious effort to drink more water and eat more healthfully.

  2. I want to get back into walking everyday on my treadmill. I moved about 2 months ago and got out of the habit.

  4. I like that you aren't making a resolution per se but plan on focusing on your health. Keep that up. Get family and friends involved. Talk about your exercising or swap fun healthy recipes. Good luck.

  6. I definitely need to work on the weight but I have to do it in a subtle way. Having an anorexic daughter makes it hard for dieting to be a forefront issue in our home. So I'm not dieting, I'm just putting my whole family on a better food plan. Join a group where you can get access to advice, a shoulder to lean on, and yummy recipes!

  7. I have very similar goals this year... water is a big one for me. I'd also like to create a family schedule to better organize our time. I've been so disorganized lately!

  9. I want to lose weight too! I have such a hard time making myself drink water, I love Diet Pepsi and drink it most of the time.

  10. as soon as the weather gets better,im getting out an start walking again,,too cold to do it now,,but no more diet soda,going to drink water instead

  13. I am also feeling a huge need to be more organized. Baby #3 is due in Feb. and I am really worried about how I am going to manage it all. I think you and I will have the same resolutions: get more organized and lose weight (once the baby is born, of course!).
