Elli and Nooli Padi Blanket Giveaway!
Hosted by More Than Mommy
Elli and Nooli is a company that makes natural blankets with certified organic cotton pique fabric such as the Padi Blanket. The PadiBlanket is designed to be used in any stroller or carseat and it is made in such a way that it will not fall off.
I was sent a Padi Blanket to facilitate my review, and I must say that overall, I was very impressed. First of all, and I think one of the things that your baby will notice first about this blanket is the fact that it is very soft! It is made with two layers fabric, and the one that will be against your babies skin is a soft layer of fleece. The outer layer is made with the cotton pique, which is woven in such a way as to keep in small pockets of air. These air pockets help keep a baby cool in the summer and warm in the winter, making this an all-weather blanket.
I found the set up for this blanket to be surprisingly simple. All I had to do was lay the blanket over my daughter’s car seat, and pull the straps through the slits in the fabric. There were no buckles to mess with, no clips, and I did not have to worry about rethreading the straps of her car seat to accommodate the blanket.
After that, I just put my daughter in her seat and buckled her like I normally would. The blanket has three “wings” that you simply fold over each other. It doesn’t matter if you start with the left or right, but the bottom one should be last. You will know you have done it right when you see the cute little footprints that have been embroidered on the blanket. I thought that was a really cute touch and it makes it very easy to identify when you have it done correctly.
My daughter was not in the mood to be still, so she was able to get out of this blanket fairly easily. In any case, because your baby is laying on part of the blanket, there is no way for it to drop on the ground and get dirty, which is a definite plus.
Because my daughter is at an age where she is more active, I don’t think she would allow me to use this blanket much. I think it would be best for babies newborn up to about age 6 months, when they start really wanting to move. It would make a perfect “coming home from the hospital” blanket!
All in all, this is a great blanket to have or give as a gift. With the colder months creeping up on us, now is the time to start thinking about how you are going to be keeping your child warm.
Elli & Nooli are generously offering one reader a PadiBlanket of their own! The giveaway will be open to residents of the U.S. 18+. One entrant per household, please.
